Edition Notes
Vol. 1 is in two parts, each with separate engraved titlepage, but with continuous pagination and register.
Vol. 1, part 1, has an additional titlepage: H̀udibras, a poem, in three cantos. By Samuel Butler. Vol. I. Part I. London: printed by T. Rickaby, for J. Edwards'; vol. 1, part 2, has a similar additional letterpress titlepage with a different imprint: "printed by T. Rickaby, for Benjamin and John White".
The second volume is entitled: 'Notes on Hudibras' and has in the direction line: Vol.II; it is divided into two parts, each with separate titlepage, but with continuous pagination and register.
With notes by Treadway Russell Nash.
An edition of 100 copies.
