This 60-plus-page book traces genealogy of the Maneval family from about 1690, when Pierre Manavalle and his family left Embrun, in the Piedmont area of France, and emigrated to the area around Knittlingen, Germany. The move was necessary because of religious persecution (they were of the Waldensian or Vaudois protestant faith, considered heresies at the time, and the group of religious emigrants was led by their pastor, Henri Arnaud ). The 1952 genealogy is being continually updated by members of the Maneval family. Current contact jmaneval@epix.net, or MKJ579@aol.com/
