Part 3 has special title page: Liber tertius. Corporis humani partium per icones delineatarum explicatio. Basileae : Apud Frobenium., M.D. LXXXI. It consists of the title leaf, with engraved port. of Platter, "A. aet. XXXXI ... Ao Dom: 1578", on verso; a leaf containing a note to the reader, with the explication of plate 1 on verso; and 50 leaves, each containing an engraving on the recto and letterpress explication of the succeeding (i.e. facing) plate on the verso.
The plates are for the most part reduced copies of the woodcuts in Andreas Vesalius, De humani corporis fabrica. See author's note to the reader, and Harvey Cushing, A biobibliography of Andreas Vesalius, 2nd ed. (Hamden, 1962), p. 97-98.
