The study consists of introduction, four main sections and conclusion sections. In the introduction part, information is given about the definition of the drink, how it was made and the harm it caused in human life. In the first part, the historical emergence of drink, the author examines the culture of drink in Turkey and the struggle against drink and drink during the Ottoman Empire. In the second part, societies established to combat drinking during the constitutional period is examined. In the third part, the establishment, activities, congresses, branches and broadcasting organs of the Hilâl-i Ahdar Cemiyeti which constitutes the main subject of the study, were discussed extensively. In the fourth and last chapter, short biographies of members of the Hilâl-i Ahdar Cemiyeti are given.
