Prayers, supplications and miscellaneous services handwritten on both sides of 69 hand-numbered leaves.
Title from first leaf of main text.
Inscribed on front flyleaf by the author, Abbot of the Bogoli︠u︡bov Monastery, Archimandrite Theophil (Ḟeofil), writing at the Spaso-Evfimīev Monastery in Suzdalʹ, where he was interim director of the monastery and prison from Feb. 8 through Sept. 1, 1840.
Main text is written in fine Russian Church Slavic block letters in red and black on unlined heavy cream-colored paper.
Leaves have Arabic numbers in top right corners in black ink, some accompanied by a small seal or insignia stamped in blind. Leaf 22 and 58 verso, at ends of sections, are blank.
Manuscript table of contents at end lists 13 section titles with beginning page numbers. Additional autographs, one dated Feb. 3, 1852, on verso of back flyleaf.
In a notebook half bound with brown overprinted marbled paper over boards; spine title and ornaments. Covers and spine are frayed and worn.
