[Letter to] My Dear Friend

George Thompson writes to R. D. Web concerning the Conway affair. Thompson says that, upon reading the Conway-Mason correspondence in the Times, he called for a meeting to demand an explanation from Conway. Thompson relates what happened in the meeting in the words of a leading member of the Manchester Union and Emancipation League.
