In order to promote efficiency, the Commission's proposal is to merge the (IG) the Office of the New York State Inspector General and (PIC) the New York State Public integrity Commission with the Temporary Commission of Investigation. This would create one investigative agency from three separate agencies which presently have both unique and overlapping jurisdictions.
