545 $aOleg Grabar (1929-2011) was a French-born scholar of Islamic art, architecture, and archaeology. He was a professor of art history at the University of Michigan from 1954 to 1969, and at Harvard from 1969 to 1990. In 1990, he joined the faculty of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Princeton.
520 $aTranscript of an interview conducted for the Oral Documentation Project at the Getty Research Institute. The project began in 1991 as a collaboration with the Oral History Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and was later solely operated by the Getty.
