520 $a"The Modern law of Trusts" sets out clearly the underlying principles which govern the law of trusts, and explores in a very practical fashion the administration of trusts. This new edition incorporates all the new trusts legislation, along with a wealth of new case law. The most important legislative development has been the enactment of the Trustee Act 2000, which has substantially amended both the powers of trustees and the standards by which their conduct is to be judged. The most important judicial developments have both been provided by the decision of the House of Lords in Twinsectra v Yardley which has restated both the law governing the nature and extent of Quistclose trusts and the definition of dioshonesty for the purposes of the imposition of "liability for dishonest assistance". However, many other significant judgments have been handed down at all levels. The chapters on Pensions Trusts and Trusts in the Conflict of Laws have been expanded. All the remaining chapters have been re-formulated and brought fully up-to-date.
