The Stonewall Book Awards, sponsored by the American Library Association's Rainbow Round Table, are three literary awards that annually recognize "exceptional merit relating to the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender experience" in English-language books published in the U.S.A.
First given in 1971, the awards are now separated into Literature, Nonfiction, and Children's & Young Adult. One book wins in each category each year, and a handful of others are honored as finalists.
The Open Library aims to have an entry for every edition of every book ever published. Many books have a scanned digital version, which you can borrow for an hour (or longer) if you make a free account. You can read or borrow a book if the bar underneath the cover says "Borrow" or "Read."
