Extracted from the writings of Thomas Jefferson.

"This pamphlet was printed at Suffield in this state [i.e., Connecticut], by Edward Gray, at the expense of the Democrats, there, instead of Philadelphia. Thus are counterfeits of all sorts playing off, for the purpose of revolutionizing this state, and introducing Mr. Jefferson's Christianity, viz. atheism."--Middlesex gazette, Middletown, Conn., Sept. 5, 1800.
