Encouraged by her husband, Rhonda completed her undergraduate work at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. She graduated with a BS in Elementary Education in1994. Giving herself a little breathing room, Rhonda then went on to receive her National Board certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist and received her MA in English from a joint program with The College of Charleston and the Citadel in 2005.
Presently Rhonda teaches third grade ELA at Eagle Nest Elementary in Dorchester 2 School District in North Charleston, SC. Her National Board certification is in the area of MC/Generalist. Pawleys Island, SC is where Rhonda spends as much time as possible. Her mother, sister, and she share a condominium at Pawleys where they spend as much time as possible. Whether on the beach at Pawleys or at Huntington Beach State Park, Rhonda fills many hours walking the shoreline, searching for shells, looking and checking on loggerhead turtle nests, and enjoying the calming beauty of the ocean.
