Greg Raven has had a lifelong interest in things mechanical. From the Erector Set he owned as a youth, to helping maintain ranch machinery while growing up, to working in a rural car and truck repair shop during high school, Greg always seemed to have a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together the right way. It wasn't until he bought a 1979 VW Scirocco and became a contributing editor to then VW & Porsche magazine that he got serious about wrenching. Mixing and matching working on Porsches, Audis, and Volkswagens with writing for various car magazines, Greg developed the ability to meld his technical expertise with his ability to explain oftentimes difficult concepts and processes in layman's terms. In addition to co-authoring this book, Greg has written more than 200 articles for car magazines such as VW&Porsche, VW Trends, European Car, and Motor Trend, as well as answering hundreds of "tech letters." He is happily married, and both his wife and his Snap-On tools representative love him.
